As part of the EuroCZFactory project, CORE is integrating its COREbeat technology into solar manufacturing, supporting the development of smarter, more reliable, and higher-quality production processes.

Smarter monitoring

In the coming months, CORE will deploy COREbeat components on Czochralski (CZ) crystal pullers, with installations planned at SINTEF in Norway and KALYON in Türkiye. The approach focuses on monitoring vibration patterns in the puller rod to identify abnormal equipment behaviour and detect early signs of potential operational issues.

Such disturbances can affect crystal-growth stability and, as a result, the quality and properties of the silicon material produced. Through early detection and predictive maintenance, COREbeat aims to support more stable production conditions, maintain desired material properties, and minimise the risk of defects, unexpected downtime, and production losses.

Testing in practice

These deployments will provide an opportunity to assess COREbeat's capabilities in research and industrial environments. This will showcase the potential of intelligent machinery monitoring to improve process reliability and product quality.

Through this initiative, CORE aims to illustrate how intelligent equipment monitoring can go beyond machinery maintenance to support consistent product quality, more efficient production, and the advancement of Europe's solar photovoltaic manufacturing industry.
